How do we work with our clients?

Greenhaven Aegis speaks business, does business ethically and treats clients, competitors and all we encounter with fairness, justice and respect.

First, we view the relationship as a partnership between two professional organizations. We work very hard to earn your trust before, during and after our engagement with you. We hope to develop a life-long friendship with you. As such, there are requirements for both our company and yours. For our partnership to be successful, we BOTH have to find value in the relationship and treat each other professionally.

Greenhaven will not engage with a client that we do not believe is a good match for our abilities, personalities and standards. We'd rather not work with someone that we cannot fully benefit or where there is not a shared commitment to certain standards. Our professional standards are the core of our relationship. When we engage a client, we promise to hold their business confidence fully. We will not divulge anything about your organization to anyone you do not authorize and approve. We will strive to do everything we can to help you achieve your organizational goals. We will not, however, ever violate the law or the highest ethical standards even for our best clients. This is non-negotiable. We will protect you to the best of our ability in everything we do. If you engage us, you promise to not ask us to do anything that violates these standards or allow us to be harmed by violation of them by your staff.

Mutual Standards:

• We will protect your reputation. Some consultants will "tell stories" about their clients outside of the client relationship. We do not bad mouth our clients to others. You are free to ask us any question as there is no such thing as a Stupid Question. You are safe when you work with us and you will have our respect. We in turn ask you to do the same for us and respect our reputation in the marketplace.

• We will never try to recruit, hire or steal anyone from your team. You work very hard to have great staff and we respect that. If any of your team approach us for work, we will report it to senior management. You, in turn, agree to the same ethical standard. You will not hire, recruit or steal anyone from our team. If any team member of our staff approaches a client outside of our contractual relationship, that staff member will be immediately terminated from the Greenhaven team. Like you, we invest a great deal in our staff and client relationships and hold this ethical standard as inviolable. We expect you to do the same.

• We will never try to compete with you or use your information to help a competitor of yours. If a competitor approaches us, we will evaluate whether we can work with them without violating your confidentiality. If there is any question, we will politely decline the engagement with your competitor. Even if we do engage, we are bound by the highest ethical standards to which we subscribe to protect you.

• You agree not to turn any of our proprietary information, plans, strategies or methods over to any of our competitors. Like you, we have worked many years to develop our business and we expect our clients to protect us as well.

• Please do not ask us to copy commercial software for you. We respect the authors rights to be paid for their work. These standards separate us from firms and consultants that will do anything to "make a buck". We value the relationship more than the transaction and we value our business character and reputation above even our business.
